Alpha Delta Pi is proud to be the first secret society exclusively for women. Founded on May 15, 1851, at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia, our sorority is rich with tradition and sisterhood. Alpha Delta Pi sisters strive for excellence in philanthropy, academic performance, and campus leadership. In keeping with our motto, We Live for Each Other, our members have found a place for support, shared values, and personal development. Opportunities abound for the sisters of Alpha Delta Pi, and we look forward to sharing them with you.
At Alpha Delta Pi at Gettysburg College, we are proud of our commitment to leadership, service, and academic excellence. Our members are actively engaged across campus, contributing their time and talents to organizations such as Order of Omega, X-Sig, Student Senate, the Counseling and Wellness Center, Gettysburg Debate, as well as numerous academic honor societies and athletic teams.
Alpha Delta Pi members make a meaningful impact through their involvement in clubs and organizations including the Gettysburg Panhellenic Executive Board, Casa Swim, Black Student Union, College Choir, and The Gettysburgian. Additionally, many of our sisters hold key leadership roles, from editing student publications to coordinating major campus events.
Whether through academic honor societies like Psi Chi and Sigma Delta Pi, mentorship programs such as the GLC, or positions as peer learning associates, our chapter is deeply dedicated to fostering the personal and professional growth of women at Gettysburg College.
